Emergency WordPress recovery for Tammara Stroud Design, followed by technical support for the team’s move to Squarespace.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Tammara Stroud Design, a residential interior design firm, contacted us when its WordPress website went offline. The immediate job was to get the site working again. The team was also moving to Squarespace so it could manage the website in-house, and we helped with the technical transition: transferring the domain from GoDaddy, mapping old URLs to the new pages, setting up Google Search Console, and advising on page titles and descriptions.
OUR APPROACH
We recovered the WordPress website first so prospective clients could view the firm’s work while the team prepared its move to Squarespace. That sequence addressed the outage while allowing the longer-term transition to continue.
We helped transfer the domain from GoDaddy, coordinated DNS work and mapped old WordPress URLs to the corresponding Squarespace pages with 301 redirects. Search Console setup and guidance on page titles and descriptions supported the team’s move to managing the site in-house.
THE WORK BEHIND THE WEBSITE
We restored the WordPress website so prospective clients could view the portfolio again while the team prepared its move to Squarespace. Recovery came first; the domain and URL work followed as part of the platform change.
We helped move the domain from GoDaddy to Squarespace and coordinated the DNS work involved in the transition. This was part of supporting the team’s platform change, along with guidance on how the existing website connected to its replacement.
We mapped and configured 301 redirects from WordPress URLs to the corresponding Squarespace pages. The purpose was to route visitors using old links to the relevant new content.
We configured Google Search Console and provided guidance for page titles and descriptions on Squarespace. That gave the team search-related setup and content guidance to carry forward as it managed the new site.
